 With $5.00 and faith, the Coming of Christ Full Gospel Church was established in 1973 by our late founder, Pastor Virgie Lee Stevenson. Located in Dallas, Texas, she started out with only seven members inside a ten room house, formally a gambling shack, which was converted into a house of worship. This was just the beginning of a miraculous, soul saving journey that has grown to hundreds. In 1976, the church and 15 families moved to Italy, Texas. Overcoming many obstacles, a new community was formed for God‘s people. Located about four miles east of Italy’s city limits, the church grew tremendously. Members were drawn from far and near, hungry for a message of deliverance and hope…a powerful message that was anointed, yet simple. Pastor Stevenson, a modern day Moses, led the congregation in establishing a full gospel ministry that touched all who sought and still seek spiritual enlightenment. The two hundred plus congregation includes many second and third generation families, with some members accumulating 25 to 35 year memberships. After the death of Pastor Stevenson, Brother Joe Jackson and Sister Brenda Jackson became the new leaders of the Coming of Christ Full Gospel Church. Pastor Jackson and 1st Lady Jackson have continued the great vision with a fresh and successful, powerful, prophetic message for today’s living.
